Resolved Question: Anyone think this could possibly become published?
Chapter 5 - The Football Field It was dark out and slightly chilly, but I was fine. I sat on the silver bleachers looking out to the green football field in front of me. Why? Why couldn’t I remember what happened here? Cheerleading, everybody said I was a cheerleader, but I couldn’t . . . I couldn’t remember. I groaned loudly. What's wrong with me? I put my head in my hands and felt tears stream down my face in a never ending flow. "Phoenix! Phoenix!" I heard my name faintly being called in the distance, and sat up straight. Zak, it was Zak's voice. I stared angrily out at the vast green space in front of me, and saw Zak appear out of the hallow grey tunnel the football players usually ran through, every full of energy and spirit. He scanned the place around him and as his gaze fell upon me, my heart skipped a beat, and he started off in a run towards me that became a full on run. He looked terribly worried about me. "Phoenix, what are you doing?" he called, taking the steps two at a time. "I . . . I . . . ," I didn't know what to say. What was I doing? Just trying to recall a memory, that’s every. When he finally reached me he slipped into the space beside me, and hugged me tightly. I let my tears run onto his shirt. When he pulled back, he held my face in his hand, catching the tears that were dripping off my chin into my hands and onto my lap. "Phoenix," he said in a gentle, deep, husky voice, "what's wrong?" I closed my eyes and leaned my cheek against his hand, "Zak, I can't . . . I can't . . . remember. Why? I wish I could remember, so that I would know what to do, and what not to do, and, and," I stuttered, sobbing a little. My eyes slowly closed. "Shh," he hushed me and brought his hand up to stroke my hair in gentle, continuous motions. "You will Phoenix, you just need to give it time," he said calmly. I sighed and opened my eyes. I realized just how close he was to me, I struggled to breathe, but his eyes were so intense, so loving. I suddenly realized what the feeling had been in freshman year when he kissed me, and now I knew why I never wanted Zak to leave me. I was in adore with him. I knew I was in adore with him, and he was in adore with me. Short little memories were hitting me. He was spinning me when we looked about ten or eleven. A fake wedding when we were six, his older brother and sister had set it up. “I’m remembering,” I whispered. “Sort of.” He brought his hand back to my cheek and then he slowly leaned towards me. When our lips met, I felt fireworks explode within me. His lips were so warm and soft. My hand snaked around to the back of his neck and I felt his hair tangling in my hand. His tongue traced my bottom lip, begging for me to open my mouth. I gladly opened my lips, wanting him to continue, to go farther with the kiss. The kiss was hot and intense, and the deeper it got, the more I wanted him. I heard Zak let out a deep moan of pleasure. I whimpered, feeling a terrible twist of pain in my stomach. Zak helped me stand, without breaking the kiss. His arms wound around my waist, my back was arching towards him. My stomach calmed, and I dug my fingers into his scalp. I was pulling him closer every second. We were both gasping, trying to breathe, but not wanting to cease. We sat back down, and finally broke our terribly long kiss. It had felt wonderful. I rested my head on his chest, and swung my legs over his lap. His hands rubbed my back, and I closed my eyes, remembering the kiss. This wasn't fair to him. I cringed away from him, pulling my legs away and bringing them up to my chest so my arms wrapped around my knees. I saw the flicker of pain in his eyes and I began sobbing again. This was so difficult, I couldn’t take it anymore. Hurting Zak was the worst thing in the world to me. I just wished none of this had happened. I . . . I wished that I had fallen in adore with Zak before I had the accident that nearly took my life. I didn’t remember who I was. This was worse than dying. If I was dead, I wouldn’t have hurt him as much as I was now. He knelt down on one knee in front of me and I buried my face in my knees. My eye's began to sting again, and my tears overflowed down my cheeks, I slowly brought my face up and looked to the side of me at the empty bleachers. Zak was gone, he was running, wiping his sleeve across his face. “Wait,” I sobbed. He stopped, he had heard me. I jumped up, and ran down the steps as he slowly turned. He was on the grass now, his possess eyes full of tears. I jumped into his arms, and let him spin me around. I buried my face in his shoulder, breathing in the scent of his detergent. He put me down, and pressed his lips to mine gently. “Why did you move away from me?” he stroked my face. “I don’t remember who I am Zak. I don’t know if I’m the cheerleader that fakes everything about her life, and puts up with an abusive boyfriend. Or if I’m the girl that you want. That you adore,” I shook my head. “Oh Phoenix, you did what you had to do to receive through school. We’re almost done with school anyway. We’re going to college together in the fall. You can start a whole new life for yourself,” he stroked my cheek. “And anyway . . . I’ve alway loved you. Since that day in freshman year. You act like yourself around me. You are a strong, glad, beautiful girl who needs someone like me. Yeah, I’m a little nerdy, but I’m nice, and strong, like you.” He leaned his forehead against mine. He knelt on one knee again, and took my hands. I knelt down with him, and sat down on the grass, allowing Zak to wrap his arms around me. He fell onto both his knees, his body shaking. “I adore you,” he whispered. “I adore you too,” I choked. “Why were you on one knee?” I suspected something. “I wanted to give you something. You never got your class ring,” he turned me around, and laid down on his side. I laid down next to him as he took out a tiny ring, and placed it on my ring finger. “Thanks,” I kissed him softly, and snuggled into his chest. He wrapped an arm around me, and massaged my waist. Music came out of nowhere. “Clap your hands!” three claps sounded. “Stomp your feet!” there were three stomps. “Sparks, can't be beat! Go purple, purple go white, white. arrive on team you can do it just put some power to it! Goooooooo Sparks!” I shot up. A memory hit, the day I had fallen. “Clap your hands!” I called, and everyone clapped three times, and paused. “Stomp your feet!” another girl smiled. Everyone stomped three times. “Sparks, can't be beat!” every of us cried out in unison. “Go purple, purple go white, white!” everyone lifted me. I was so tiny, it was very easy to be lifted up. “arrive on team you can do it just put some power to it!” They threw me in the air. I did a flip, and landed in their arms. “Goooooooo Sparks!” one girl screeched as I jumped back to the ground. Zak came out just as I was lifted into the air again. It took little effort for the four girls to lift me up with one hand each. Lifting one leg and bending it, I looked over at Zak. He smiled at me, and I smiled back, losing my balance. My arms flailed. This had happened before, just, we had mats, and I wasn’t falling from six feet in the air, and I wasn’t outside. I was terrified. If I hit the ground head first, there was a chance I could die. I could break my spine, something could happen. I tried grabbing someone’s hand, but no one was close enough. This fall was longer than I expected. I had a feeling my life was about to end. My head cracked loudly against the grass. How could grass make a cracking sound? I blacked out. “Phoenix? Phoenix?” a voice came from far away. “Call 911!” a shrill voice screeched. “You call!” the first voice snapped. I opened my eyes, and looked around, my vision blurry. My field of vision turned to a young boy with cropped brown hair and beautiful blue eyes. “She’s awake,” the boy spoke. “Who are you?” I pulled my eyebrows together. The boy’s eyes widened as he sucked in a sharp breath. “Do you know who you are?” “No.” “Do you know what happened?” “No.” “Do you know where you are?” “No.” “Call 911,” the boy shook his head. I was still confused, why were they calling 911? The boy made sure I stayed still, and that my head was securely in place. “Honey!” a deep voice traveled through the air. “Careful Brody, she hit her head,” the boy held my head still as I tried to wiggle and sit up. “Are you okay?” the other boy, Brody, I assumed, knelt down beside me. I stared at him, I felt perfectly fine, then, I felt sick to my stomach. I wrapped my arms around my flat stomach, and tried to swallow back the vomit. “She’s green, sit her up,” Brody bit his lower lip. The boy slowly sat me up, and I threw up on my lap. He rubbed my back, and I took a deep breath. “Shh,” Brody soothed as I was laid back down. “Where’s the ambulance?” the boy growled. “Sorry Zak, our phones are dead,” the shrill voice spoke again. The boy, now known as Zak, sighed angrily, and flipped out his possess cell phone. He dialed the three numbers, and Brody stroked my face. I tried to scoot away, but now someone else was holding me down. “Who are you?” I looked up at the girl with glasses sliding down her nose holding me down. “You don’t remember me? I’m Faithe, Faithe Wilson. I’m your best pal,” the girl’s grip loosened some. “And I’m your boyfriend,” Brody whispered. “Yes, hello. A cheerleader here hit her head, and there’s blood everywhere. She can’t remember anything, and she’s vomited,” he covered the phone. “Check her eyes, if they’re glassy, she most likely has a concussion,” he uncovered the phone. “Why can’t I sit up?” I pouted. My vision was blurry again, and my stomach rolled with nausea. “Shh,” Faithe ordered softly. “We’re at Wilson High School. The cheerleaders are here, along with the girl’s boyfriend and best pal. We’re safe here, but there are no adults. We’re at the football field. We’ll have a kid meet you out front of the school. We need an ambulance,” Zak bit his lip, and looked at me. Faithe looked into my eyes, and I felt the nausea again. I closed my eyes, and drifted to snooze. It wasn’t long till I was awoken by someone moving me. I opened my eyes, and looked around. The world seemed to be spinning. Tons of people were at my sides, asking me questions I didn’t know the answers to. I close my eyes, trying to block out the sound and the flashing lights. “Go away,” my words were slurred. I fell asleep again, and felt peaceful. I clung to Zak, not wanting to remember. I wanted to stay with him, and be the way I was now. He stroked my back, and rained kisses on my face and neck. I shivered, and buried myself deep in his shirt. “I don’t want to remember,” I whimpered. “Why?” I ran my hands down his chest. “I don’t want to go back to being who I was before the accident.” “You won’t, I promise,” he pulled me closer, trying to keep me warm. He rolled onto his back, and I laid on his chest. I tucked my head below his chin, and drifted to snooze.

Voting Question: Know of a person with horse property in Phoenix or Tucson willing to rent for a wedding?
My fiance (an Iraq war Veteran) and I are looking to have a very simple yet elegant wedding on horse property or a ranch. We would like to be able to decorate with simple twinkle lights, a few tables, and have our possess live music play. We would adore to have trees but would settle for mountain views. If it's in the Phoenix or surrounding area, perfect. If it's close Tuscon or in between Tucson and Phoenix that's o.k. too. We don't want to spend more than $1000 or $1500 to rent the farm or ranch. We are willing to receive a liability insurance policy and use a party bus to clip down on traffic and parking. We would like to have our possess food brought in as well as few bottles of wine and a keg. We are willing to receive a licensed bartender if necessary. Please. We can't afford a fancy resort wedding. Our idea of a dream wedding is open space with minimal interference from a venue. I grew up on a farm in Iowa and I will treat your land and buildings as if they were my possess. Help us make our dream arrive true. The Farm at South Mountain and Schnepf Farms are way overpriced for our budget once you add food. We will have approximately 100 guests and would like to have the ceremony in the same place if possible in either March of 2011 or May of 2011. We are trying to keep the total spent on our wedding including ceremoney, reception, dress and suit, flowers, food and alcohol to approx $6000. And that is pushing it. Thank you very much for any help you can provide.

Voting Question: How to help my car make the trip?
My fiancé wants to buy a suit for our wedding next week. We live in a tiny retirement community, so the nicer clothes they sell here are more suited for elderly men, not a 21 year old. He rarely wants to buy clothes, so i have no issue traveling a couple hours so he can find something nice. We're going to steer down to Phoenix, where it'll be in the 110's. My car has always been well taken care of, I keep up on regular maintenance, but it's getting older and I'm worried about what the heat will do to the engine. We walk almost everywhere, so I only take it out on the weekend, and I maybe steer it 50 miles a week. I do take it out on the highway almost every weekend so I can receive it over 55, but it's never for sustained periods of time. It just isn't used to long trips at high speeds and then toss on top of that the heat and a steep hill we have to go up at 75 after it's been baking in the sun every day. Last time we went down there it dies on the side of the freeway because the fuel pump went. Besides not running the ac (I know better than that), is there anything else I can do to help it not break down? I just had the oil changed last week, and they didn't look anything wrong with it during the safety inspection. If it matters it's a 2001 mustang, 94k miles, and has never had a issue but the fuel pump going last time we went up that hill.

Resolved Question: Hotels in Phoenix that are near the Biltmore?
For those familiar with Phoenix hotels, are there hotels that are close the Phoenix Biltmore that are less expensive. I'm going to a wedding there and am wondering if I should stay there or find another hotel nearby. The rate I got for the Biltmore (Saturday night in Nov.) for a standard room is $240. Not too bad, but wondering if there is something nice nearby that is less than $150 a night. Thanks.

Resolved Question: For everyone who's been looking at tons of wedding photos, opinions please?
Link with website and images - http://phoenix.craigslist.org/evl/for/1576338221.html What do you think of the website layout? What would make it more appealing? Overall, what do you think of the images? Good/ok/bad? What do you think of the pricing? To high or to low for the quality of images? Thanks to everyone for their opinions! Needed some unbiased ones to look where we could improve. We just finished our first year, and would like to step it up a notch for year 2. :) Thanks again, everyone on here is always super helpful. Resolved Question: Restaurant to hold my wedding reception in Phoenix, AZ?
Question is pretty much explanatory. I'm looking for some place classy but inexpensive. Particularly I'm looking for a private banquet room for my group of around 30 guests. My wedding ceremony is in Gilbert, AZ so I'd like to find a place somewhere close either in Gilbert, Mesa, Tempe, Chandler, or Scottsdale.

Resolved Question: Can anyone recommend a good reception location for a wedding in Phoenix/Scottsdale?
I looked at the Sheraton Crescent Hotel which had amazing pictures for reception in Indigo room...but like 50% bad reviews online. We are probably going to have our ceremony at McCormick Ranch Country Club in Scottsdale, gorgeous outdoors, but their reception site is in their restaurant which wasnt good. I would like to have the reception at a decent hotel so guests can just stay there after and the ONLY thing I am asking for with reception rooms is that they have windows. Obviously, Westin Kierland in Scottsdale is super pricey, but can ANYONE that possibly lives in AZ and knows a bit more recommend anywhere for me to look? I feel like I have looked at 40 places and they either dont have the date, look really shoddy and have like 56% bad reviews on line, or cant hold 100 people. Heeeelp... :(

Resolved Question: LDS Family Bible For Wedding Gift?
My pal is a converted Mormon and she is marrying her fiance on March 6, 2010. I am FAR from being Mormon at every and she knows this quite well and knows my views on it, but she also knows that I truly want her to be glad and this is the life she has chosen. Anyways, I am wondering where I could receive a family bible for her and her husband with a simple LDS wedding type inscription along with their names in it and possibly a place on the back of the cover with a place for a family photograph of the glad couple. Is there a good site that can give me a good idea about this or a place in the Mesa (Phoenix) area that I could find a good quality family bible for them? I've never once thought she was going to cease being my pal I've known her for years long before she converted. That's not my worry. Thanks for the advise :)

Resolved Question: Videographers In Phoenix AZ?
I want something simple. I'm looking for someone who can film my wedding. I don't want to make a full blown movie out of it and paying $1500 for it is way to much. I don't need anything fancy, like titles and 6 cameras filming in HD. I want someone that can keep the picture from bouncing every over the place and making you sea sick when you watch it. And someone to do a little editing. Does anyone know of someone who charges around $600 for video taping a wedding and part of the reception?

Resolved Question: HELP! I've got 2 free plane tickets and want to plan a vacation, tropical and inexpensive, where would you go?
THIS IS A BIT LONG< READ ONLY IF YOU HAVE THE TIME TO HELP ME DECIDE: THANKS! First of every I don't want to sound like I am complaining here, just confused on where to go. I realize I am very lucky to have the tickets! The plane tickets are for anywhere in the U.S. plus Cancun, Bahamas, Jamaica, Puerto Rico and Aruba. Most of these places outside the U.S. would be too expensive though in terms of hotel and food for me right now for two people, so where else in the mainland U.S. could I visit that is somewhat close a nice beach, maybe some shells, and isn't too expensive for a hotel there and food? I only have about an extra 1,000 for a 3 day trip somewhere for the hotel and food and spending. every I want to do is spend some quality time with my husband and sit and watch the waves, drink a tropical drink at a tiki hut, swim in a huge pool and possibly take a boat out to a little island to find some shells. (Otherwise I also have free hotel rooms at any Harrah's hotel in the U.S. so I guess they have Harrah's in Las Vegas, Atlantic City, New Orleans, Phoenix, and other places more inland in the U.S. That would be very cheap then since I would then have free air and hotel, but none of those places is really that tropical!) I could also pick to fly to New Orleans or Miami and try a 4 day cruise. Upside of that: fairly cheap and could look Key West AND Mexico ! And lots of food every included in the price Downside: I've never been on a cruise , sometimes there are hidden costs to consider, tipping, extra excursion, etc. and I wouldn't receive into the pool with tons of people, no privacy, and could seem like I'm stuck on a boat with a bunch of drunks since I heard the 4 days cruises are "party cruises". Again look I'm totally stuck on what to do and where to go with these tickets! Anyway if I don't do the Harrah's free hotel thing or the cruise then, I was thinking possibly Pensacola, Florida since it is supposed to be cheaper and they still offer the touristy things to do there, but not sure if that might be too boring. Do you have other ideas that could work? I wouldn't mind using the free tickets to California but then the hotel prices are just too high. And Virginia Beach is supposed to be nice but I'm not sure if it is expensive to visit and I know it won't be as tropical as Florida or Cancun of course since there will doubtfully be tiki huts and tropical drinks/ not sure though? Also lots and lots of people say go to Cancun but I worry about a few things: crime to and from the hotels, crime at the hotels, crime going to dinner in the cities and I'd hate to look kids begging on the beach on my vacation or stray dogs starving to death running down the beaches. If you've gone there, is that what you've encountered ever? Some previous yahoo people said that was what it was like, not fun for a vacation then. Someone recommended a place calledCancun Palace (p.s. my research shows: Le Blanc in Cancun looks amazing if you have more money than me for the trip!), someone else said Myrtle Beach, others Key West? Has anyone been to Key West lately, do you have any silent beaches or are they every packed with crazy tourists? If I can't arrive up with a trip that my husband would also like, then he said I should just use one of the tickets to fly to my niece's wedding in Minneapolis and wait for the other ticket for something else ....BORING use of the 2 tickets I say, and then I might never go on the somewhat more "romantic" and "relaxing" trip with my husband. I think I'd rather just pay for the wedding ticket for myself separately.Sooooo ...... if you could go anywhere, where would you fly for a fairly inexpensive vacation with my 2 free tickets? I'm totally stumped on what to do and where to go! Thanks for any input! TRVLLADY- THANKS, my husband just said the same thing, make a list to help decide....so your advice was right on target since I am stuck. And I will look into Virginia Beach more extensively then as well!

Resolved Question: In Arizona, immigrant couple lives in anxiety what if it you ?
Reporting from PhoenixThe day Arizona's governor signed the strictest immigration law in the country — tasking police with checking the immigration status of those they cease and suspect to be in the country illegally — Maria thought it might be the last straw for her family. For six years Maria, a U.S. citizen, and her husband, Salvador, who is in the country illegally, have tried to make sure he isn't caught up in a raid or sweep or traffic enforcement operation. To avoid his deportation, the couple takes precautions that, when synthesized, go something like this: Avoid driving at night. Avoid unnecessary trips — grocery shopping once a week is best. » Don't miss a thing. receive breaking news alerts delivered to your inbox. Stay home. Stay and care of the garden. like the blueberry bushes and the apricot trees, and mow the lawn. Keep it nice. Try to deflect, as much as possible, their 4-year-old daughter's questions about going to Disneyland. As a citizen, Maria, 24, doesn't worry about being stopped when she's alone or with her daughter Carina. But her concern for Salvador, 29, has grown over the years, especially after Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio began using his department to enforce federal immigration laws. When the program was essentially adopted on a statewide level, one of Maria's aunts considered cancelling her daughter's 8th birthday party to avoid attracting attention. Other friends and relatives — often mixed families of citizens and illegal immigrants — decided to put off repairs to their homes to keep money in case a family member got deported. Like many of them, Maria wondered … is it time to leave Arizona? Dreams vs. realities Maria and Salvador met as teenagers. In the evenings Maria played basketball at the middle school where Salvador took English classes. (They asked that their full names not be used because of his status.) She never thought to ask about his legal situation when they started dating, and by the time she learned he'd crossed the border illegally when he was 17, they'd already made plans for a life together. Maria, who came to the U.S. legally when she was 6, became a citizen at 18, thinking Salvador would easily obtain legal status once they were married. They wed that same year at a Phoenix courthouse, but set a date for a wedding a year later at El Santuario del Señor de La Piedad, a centuries-old Catholic church that towers over the couple's shared hometown in La Piedad, in the Mexican state of Michoacan. But they never made it. Soon after they were married, they met with an immigration attorney who told them Salvador would have to return to Mexico to apply for residency. If he did, the attorney said, it was possible he'd be barred from the U.S. for 10 years. They decided they couldn't risk such a separation. Two years later, Carina was born. The two of them, newborn in tow, realized Salvador's legal status was probably not going to change, and they went about putting down roots. Maria settled into her job as a teacher's assistant in a class for severely autistic preschoolers. Salvador worked maintenance at a golf course, and he got out early enough to pick up his daughter from day care. Last January, they had a church wedding at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Parish in north Phoenix. Carina carried her mom's train. In the meantime, Arizona began taking steps to make it an inhospitable state for those who came to the country illegally: the county sheriff dispatched his deputies to search for illegal immigrants, a law was passed to bar such immigrants from receiving government services and the state sought to close down businesses that hired illegal workers. Maria and Salvador learned to live, somewhat, with the worry. When Salvador leaves for work in the morning, Maria gives him a clean set of clothes to change into for the steer home so he won't look like a laborer. When he has a weekend shift and can't travel with his usual carpool, Maria wakes up before he leaves at 4:30 a.m. and together, they pray that he comes back. The rules for driving are clear: Check the truck — make sure the signals and lights work. A pal was once pulled over by deputies for having a broken light on his license dish. He was deported shortly after. steer carefully, use turn signals, make complete stops. Don't put unnecessary adornments on the truck. Never exceed the speed limit. In August, they bought their first home, a three-bedroom bank-owned fixer-upper. They spent much of their time mending it and caring for the huge yard, with its fruit trees and flowers. When Salvador's dad died this year, Salvador couldn't attend the funeral. So they planted an apricot tree in his honor. Maria became involved in a church group that advocates for a variety of causes, such as education and immigrant rights. The information she gets at immigrant right

Resolved Question: What gift should we give to our families for planning such a wonderful wedding & reception?
I was married on St. Patrick's Day! The day was absolutely perfect. The location was in a gorgeous blossom & rose garden & delightful breakfast reception. We spent two wonderful days at a cabin in Lake Mormon (close Flagstaff, AZ) that belongs to a close family member of mine (moms first cousin). We gave up our dream wedding at Paris Las Vegas to receive married here in Phoenix, AZ. My sister in law is on bed relax, because she's pregnant with triplets. There was no way we we're going to receive married without her. Me and my husband we're driving back to Phoenix earlier this morning, and we we're trying to figure out how to thank our families for making our wedding day so wonderful. Does anyone have any ideas?

I have only found 2 places so far where that is possible (most everything is outdoor.) Does anyone have any ideas on beautiful places? Resolved Question: Does anyone know where I can find eco-friendly wedding bands in Arizona?
I live in Phoenix, AZ and was looking for a store that I can find these kinds of bands. If there is none in Phoenix,AZ area or close, within the state of Arizona would be helpful. I seen a few bands with a mixture of wood and metal so something along that line would be awesome. Thank you very much!!

Resolved Question: Looking for French Restaurants/Hotels in Phoenix.?
I am looking at having a Paris wedding theme at a hotel or restaurant in the Phoenix metro. So I'm looking for every the French Restaurants I can find. I know there used to be the La Madeline and it would had been perfect but it no longer is in business in AZ. Is there more like that place? I'm not necessarily looking for one that is in the business of having a wedding there... I'm just looking for the restaurant then I'll talk to them. I would prefer a restaurant over a hotel.

Resolved Question: Is Ariziona governor afraid someone will find out her true heritage?
Arizona gov. signs bill targeting ethnic studies · By JONATHAN J. COOPER, Associated Press Writer Jonathan J. Cooper, Associated Press Writer – Wed May 12, 6:23 am ET PHOENIX – Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer has signed a bill targeting a school district's ethnic studies program, hours after a report by United Nations human rights experts condemned the measure. State schools chief Tom Horne, who has pushed the bill for years, said he believes the Tucson school district's Mexican-American studies program teaches Latino students that they are oppressed by white people. Public schools should not be encouraging students to resent a particular race, he said. "It's just like the old South, and it's long past time that we prohibited it," Horne said. Brewer's signature on the bill Tuesday comes less than a month after she signed the nation's toughest crackdown on illegal immigration — a move that ignited international backlash amid charges the measure would encourage racial profiling of Hispanics. The governor has said profiling will not be tolerated. The measure signed Tuesday prohibits classes that advocate ethnic solidarity, that are designed primarily for students of a particular race or that promote resentment toward a certain ethnic group. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ woe is me this lady looks like a really really old Mexican farmer. (no pun intended.) when she is no longer in office, someone else will overturn her foolish bill. Caucasians like her need to take a good look around this country. I am young lady, very well educated, well traveled. We just don't think like those of her generation. She is pathetic. as I said I am very well educated. I'm not disrespecting her. I am saying that an old lady like her cannot expect me, a young lady, to follow her guide. In other words, I and many millions of other educated young people will simply wait until she leaves office. Then we will take over...illegals are here to stay, Instead of threats, etc. find ways to deal with them...which we will do. every of you in the United States are illegal. You possess nothing. You live on stolen land. Your big businesses are thieves. Yet you sit by idly and applaud their continuous embezzlements, frauds, etc. Those who have paid off mortgages still do not possess your homes. You are forever owing taxes, etc. You buy and pay for vehicles, boats? Yet you must continue to purchase insurance, etc. You are the original 'illegal' Now, land not your possess, will be returned to its original owners. Caucasians are in the minority. And will remain so. the only way to keep ourselves is to treat others better than our forefathers treated those they stole from. hahaha I am not a liberal. Unlike most, I do not need a 'label' in order to justify my beliefs. Democrats and Republicans basically have the same mindsets anyway. But the beliefs of both paties, and to include independents to some degree, are much too antebellum for upcoming educated, young, smart, intelligent, people who do not, again, need labels. We need progress. Not backwardness.

Resolved Question: Where should I get married in Phoenix, AZ? Somewhere around the valley?
I am looking for something possibly outdoors, I plan to have the wedding in the fall so it should be nice outside. Also I am looking for something with a decent price range, my budget is not that big. Anyone have any suggestions? I would very much appreciate some good ideas :) THANKS!

Resolved Question: What should I charge as a wedding singer?
I have been singing my entire life, am a music major in college and have been getting paid to sing by churches and individuals for the last four years. I do not have any illusions of being worth more than a beginning professional. I am unemployed, so I will be pursuing singing as my sole source of income. I want to start marketing myself and singing for weddings, funerals, events and giving beginning voice lessons. I would appreciate advice on the going rates for someone with my qualifications for Phoenix, Arizona. So far my research has set the average vocal soloist in Phoenix charging $250 - $3,000 for weddings (the minimum price being one tune, the maximum cost being an entire ceremony plus entire reception). I am qualified, but have not yet pursued this venue seriously. I would realistically rate myself as moderately experienced. I want to give clients options in how much they can afford, so I intend to charge a flat rate to cover travel and rehearsal and the first tune, and then charge a discounted rate for additional songs. I am looking to make this my primary source of income, so I do need the rates to be worth my time and effort. I will have to consider the cost of gas, sheet music, accompaniment (cds unless otherwise provided), rehearsal time, money and time spent on marketing myself, and any additional costs incurred by special requests. I would especially like suggestions for what I should charge realistically (not short-selling myself or overcharging) for these specific things: ~ Minimum flat rate for weddings ~Minimum flat rate for funerals ~Charge per tune for weddings ~Charge per tune for funerals ~Additional charge for special requests not in my repertoire ~Additional fee for travel more than 30 minutes away ~Hourly rate for receptions ~Hourly rate for voice lessons Thank you for your time and assistance.
